Durga Prasai and Dipak Khadka arrested

Kathmandu: Absconding medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been apprehended by Nepal Police.

According to Deputy Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Acharya, spokesperson Prasai and his bodyguard Deepak Khadka have been taken into custody from Bhadrapur, Jhapa.

Prasai has been arrested under the charges of inciting violence during a protest in support of the former king in Tinkune on March 28 and has been on the run ever since.

Two people were killed in a demonstration in support of the former monarch in Tinkune.

Currently, he is being flown to Kathmandu today for a necessary investigation.
