FNJ Khotang brings pension scheme for journalists over 70 years of age

Khotang: The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ)’s Khotang chapter has decided to make arrangement for pension for those journalists over 70 years old in Khotang district.

Towards this, the full meeting of the executive committee of the FNJ Khotang chapter convened on Tuesday decided to establish ‘Journalist Pension Fund’.

According to Haribol Acharya, President of Khotang chapter, the arrangement aims to encourage elderly journalists to retain them in their profession and contribute their part with the wealth of knowledge and wide experiences.

Three former Presidents of the FNJ’s Khotang chapter will be entrusted with the responsibility of devising procedure for the operation of the Fund, Acharya added. (RSS)
