Kathmandu: Sudur Paschim Royals registered its third consecutive victory in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Saturday beating Lumbini Lions by 45 runs at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Batting first Sudur Paschim scored a total of 187 runs in the stipulated 20 overs with a loss of 4 wickets against Lumbini.
Following the terget Lumbini Lions scored just 142 runs in 20 overs losing 9 wickets.
Lumbini’s Bibek Yadav hit a half-century and scored 77 runs but couldn’t stop his team from a loss. Sundeep Jora scored 20 runs and Dinesh Adhikari scored 14 runs. Other batsmen of Lumbini couldn’t score runs in double digits.
Sudur Paschim’s bowlers Brandon McMullen and Saif Zaib took 3 wickets each. Similarly, Scott Kuggeleijn took two wickets and Abinash Bohara took a wicket.
With this, Lumbini became the first team to lose three matches in the NPL whereas Sudur Paschim became 2nd team after Janakpur who registered three consecutive victories in NPL.
