Lumbini: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chet Narayan Acharya reaffirmed the commitment of his province to creating an atmosphere favourable to investment.
Addressing the 46th annual general assembly of Rupandehi Chamber of Industries in Butwal today, CM Acharya viewed that all three tiers of government should pay heed on how they could foster an investment friendly environment.
He assured the accomplishment of the provincial government’s planned initiatives to develop and promote development of industrial area in some districts, Acharya shared that the provincial government had adopted industry-friendly policy.
Highlighting the importance of industrialists and entrepreneurs’ enthusiasm in advancement of the province, he argued that their enthusiasm and initiatives were crucial to drive development in the province. “Unless the industrialists and entrepreneurs are encouraged, the government could not move forward nor could the country make stride in economic progress,” he remarked.
Increased investment from private sectors would help attain self-sufficiency. He also appealed to the private sector to increase investment in productive sector so as to bolster domestic production. CM Acharya pledged to support initiatives aimed at boosting domestic production.
Acharya articulated readiness of the provincial government to consider amendment in legal frameworks hindering the business operations.
The CM reassured to address any concerns raised by the industrialists.
