Medical outlet sealed after monitoring

Pyuthan: A clinic was sealed in Pyuthan during a market monitoring on Monday. The Shova Health Clinic at Baddanda of Sarumarani rural municipality-4 was found running without registration.

Assistant Chief District Officer Laxmi Devi Sharma informed that the medical outlet was taken action as it was running without registration for a year.

“Although there was a pharmacy which was legal, the services as medical shop, lab, emergency, and x-ray were operated without registration. So, it was taken action,” she said, adding that it would be allowed operation after it meets legal criteria.

Similarly, the market monitoring conducted by the representatives from District Administration Office, District Police Office, Small and Cottage Industry Office and Sarumarani rural municipality, visited several outlets and disposed date-expired goods.

The goods worth Rs 28,000 were disposed and destroyed by the market monitoring team.

The market monitoring has been intensified in the wake of approaching festival. It is essential to protect consumers’ rights, Sharma viewed. (RSS)
