Bagmati: Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang) has staked his claim to the post of Chief Minister of Bagmati Province.
Leader Lama submitted the claim before Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma with signature of 64 Province Assembly members of the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML).
He staked the claim before Province Chief with the presence of NC Bagmati Province President and Province Assembly member Indra Bahadur Baniya and CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party leader, Jagannath Thapaliya.
There is possibility of appointing leader Lama as the Chief Minister by Province Chief today itself. Approving the resignation of Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel, Province Chief Sharma asked political parties to stake their claim by 5:00 pm today for the formation of a new government in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution.
