Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal have extended warm wishes to all Nepalis, within the country and abroad, on the auspicious occasion of Bada Dashain, the greatest festival celebrated by Nepalis.
In his message, President Paudel conveyed his hopes for peace, prosperity, happiness, good health, longevity, and progress. “This festival which signifies the victory of virtue over vice, and mutual goodwill, fraternity, and reunification in the society, will inspire us to promote social harmony, unity, solidarity, justice, and equality,” he said, expressing his aspiration for the festival to inspire national progress and unity.
Similarly, Prime Minister Dahal, in his message, emphasized the pivotal role of public support in the government’s efforts towards building a prosperous nation. He stressed the need for collective and positive thinking to steer Nepal towards greater heights. Acknowledging the challenges in the economy and development, the Prime Minister called for dedicated efforts centered on the nation, its people, and their well-being.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of adopting a positive and innovative approach to discard superstitions and outdated beliefs associated with traditional festivals, while upholding their positive aspects and fundamental values.
On the occasion of Bijaya Dashami, President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to bestow the Dashain Tika to distinguished individuals and the general public at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas. The Office Spokesperson, Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, said that the President would be offering the Dashain Tika between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Those interested in receiving the Tika from the President are advised to enter through gate number 1, the president office said.
