Kathmandu: The government has approved investment worth Rs 36.37 billion for four hydroelectricity projects.
The 55th board meeting of the Investment Board Nepal (IBN) led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Friday approved investment for 22MW Rolwaling Khola Hydropower, 63MW Chujung Khola Hydropower, 49.95MW Dana Khola Hydropower, and 44.52MW Sanibheri Hydropower projects.
The meeting has also decided to form a coordination committee led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board to engage in discussions with the developers regarding the China-Nepal Friendship Industrial Park in Damak and to prepare the final draft of the Project Development Agreement (PDA).
Similarly, the meeting gave green signal to Dolma Himalayan Energy for the study of a solar energy project with capacities of 245 megawatts and 20 megawatts battery storage in Rajapur Rural Municipality of Dang district to Dolma Himalayan Energy.
