Kathmandu: Janamat Party on Monday re-entered the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for the second time.
President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Anita Devi Sah at Sheetal Niwas.
In a move to accommodate the Janamat Party, the CPN (Maoist Centre) removed Aman Lal Modi from his ministerial position on Sunday. This decision was aimed to create an opening for a representative from the Janamat Party to join the cabinet.
The ruling Maoist party’s office bearers’ meeting, held earlier, concluded that Modi would be recalled from his government position to allow the CK Raut-led party to be represented in the Cabinet.
Abdul Khan from the Janamat Party had been appointed as the Minister of Water Supply in January. However, he resigned within two months as the Janamat Party was dissatisfied with the ministerial position. However, the party had not withdrawn its support to the government.
