Kathmandu: Adverse weather has caused disruptions to domestic flights, with destinations including Pokhara, Bharatpur, and Tumlingtar being particularly affected by poor visibility, according to the Tribhuvan International Airport Office.
Teknath Sitaula, a spokesperson for the TIA Office, confirmed that flights to three domestic destinations, including Pokhara, have been completely suspended, although flights to some other destinations have resumed as the weather has cleared up.
Today, 115 flights were scheduled to operate in the domestic sector, but many have been impacted by increased air pollution in various parts of the country, including Kathmandu, over the past three days. Flights to Pokhara were also affected on Friday and Saturday.
While international flights were generally disrupted this morning, they are now operating on schedule. However, a Qatar Airways aircraft had to hold for around two hours due to a mis-approach.
