Kathmandu: An earthquake measuring 5.5 in Richter scale hit the Sudur Paschim Province with its epicenter in Bajura district on Wednesday. The earthquake occurred at 1:45 PM, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center.
The tremors were felt in several districts including Bajhang and Achham. Fortunately, the earthquake did not cause significant damages, according to the Center.
This earthquake comes less than a month in the region as an earthquake struck on January 24 with the epicenter in Bajura. The earthquake resulted in the loss of one life and destroyed more than a dozen houses.
