Kathmandu: Himalaya Airlines has started commercial flights from the Bhairahawa-based Gautam Buddha International Airport, becoming the second airline company to operate flights from Nepal’s second international airport.
The P-320 aircraft of the airline with 135 passengers flew to Kuala Lumpur from Bhairahawa on Thursday.
According to the company, it has planned to operate daily flights to and from Bhairahawa. “If this test flight is successful, the airline company will schedule daily flights from Bhairahawa,” said Vijay Shrestha, Vice-President-Administration of the airline.
