Kathmandu: A total of 10 lawmakers of CPN (Unified Socialist) have said that they will not accept the party’s decision to change the ministers representing the party in the incumbent government.
They have handed over a letter to the party’s Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal demanding to summon a meeting of the Parliamentary Party to discuss the matter.
Those demanding to summon the meeting are Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada, Minister for Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhakri, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Ale, Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha and lawmaker Krishna Lal Maharjan.
Likewise, lawmakers Gopal Bahadur Ban, Bina Devi Budhathoki, Pushpa Kumari Karna Kayastha, Dhan Bahadur Budha, and Nira Jairu have signed the letter demanding to summon the meeting.
They have said in the attention letter that the ministers representing the party in the government were treated like criminals.
“The leadership treated the ministers like criminals by disbelieving the commitments made by ministers that they will resign from the post after receiving prior information. Such behavior can never be considered right,” reads the letter.
