Kathmandu: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Thursday refuted media reports claiming that the government is preparing to sign a State Partnership Program (SPP) agreement with the USA. The Chair of one of the partners in the ruling alliance announced that the incumbent government will not sign any such deal.
“Rumors that SPP agreement has been signed or is being signed are false. “I, as a leader of the coalition, can assure you that no such agreement has not been signed or will be signed,” said Prachanda.
Prachanda further stated that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had expressed his commitment that the SPP agreement will not be inked. “The prime minister has expressed his commitment of not singing any such agreement under any circumstance. No one needs to be confused,” said Prachanda.
