Kathmandu: Five Nepali youths have made it to the ‘Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2022’ list.
Aishwarya Rani Singh, Sujit Pathak, Sumit Dahal, Niraj Kafle and Santosh Pandey have been included in the seventh annual “30 Under 30 Asia” list by Forbes, an American business magazine.
The magazine said the list includes entrepreneurs, leaders and trailblazers across the Asia-Pacific region, all under the age of 30, who are inspiring change and driving innovation in their respective fields amid the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the magazine, Aishwarya Rani Singh, Founding Board President of Putali Nepal, is helping underprivileged women access menstrual hygiene products. She founded the organization focused on menstrual hygiene education and training to empower and facilitate young people to be trainers in their communities.
Sujit Pathak is the co-founder of Ingrails, the company behind the Veda app. Initially created as a communications app to connect educational institutions with students and parents, now, the software solution claims to provide the digital backbone for more than 800 schools with 1.6 million regular users across Nepal.
Likewise, Sumit Dahal is a Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The experimental astrophysicist and postdoctoral fellow at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center build telescopes to study the origin and evolution of the universe. Dahal has deployed three microwave telescopes in Chile’s the Atacama Desert to pick up microwave remnants from the earliest moments of the universe.
Niraj Kafle and Santosh Pandey are Co-founders of Offering Happiness. They co-founded the company in 2017, aspiring to connect Nepalese, especially those working overseas, through gift deliveries. The company claims to be Nepal’s largest gifting platform pioneering in experiential gifting, surprise planning and corporate gifting.
