Kathmandu: Founder of National Innovation Centre and Nepali scientist Dr Mahabir Pun Magar has been honored by the University of Central Lancashire in the UK.
At a program organized by Biz Education in the UK, Pun was honored in recognition of his contribution to research, studies and innovation. An interaction program was also held virtually on the occasion.
The sexagenarian scientist showed his works through video to the audiences participating in the honoring event. He shared that the Innovation Centre was set up with the support of the people of Nepal and foreigners working in over 20 sectors such as drone, biomedical, agriculture, education, and health.
Earlier he was known for work in applying wireless technologies to rural areas in the hilly region.
Present at the event were Nepal Education Council UK’s office-bearer Basanta Nepal, Ganesh Khadka, and Krishna Khanal among others. RSS
