Kathmandu: Dipendra Singh Airee scored a century as Nepal thrashed Malaysia by 85 runs in a match under Tri-Nation T20I Series on Saturday afternoon.
Nepal set 224 runs target for Malaysia losing five wickets in the match played at TU Cricket Ground after Airee scored not out 110 runs off 57 balls smashing 10 fours and six sixes.
Chasing the target, Malaysia managed to get only 138 runs on the board losing all wickets in 19.5 overs. Virandeep Singh top-scored for Malaysia at 47 runs as Captain Ahmad Faiz contributed 33 runs for his team.
For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed three wickets as Kamal Airee and Dipendra Singh Airee took two wickets each.
Nepal has already entered the final of the triangular series and will play against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the final on Monday.
