Kathmandu: The BBC MasterChef: The Professionals team is scheduled to visit Nepal on April 7 as part of the country’s tourism revival post-Covid-19 campaign.
Under the ‘MasterChef Finalists Tour To Nepal’ campaign organized by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter, the team involving finalists of the BBC MasterChef: The Professionals 2020, has been invited to Nepal to reveal the country’s tourist destinations through its original culture and dishes, according to a statement issued by the PATA Nepal Chapter.
The team comprising chefs Santosh Shah, Aleks, Bart and Philippe, will arrive in Kathmandu on April 7 and engage in various publicity programs for seven days.
The team will participate in various food-related events including ones with the theme of ‘fine dining’ in Kathmandu and ‘Mithila food and recipe’ in Janakpur and in promotional programs of Tharu culture and dishes in Bardiya.
Similarly, they are slated to visit Kala Patthar and Pokhara, a tourist hub. The team will also participate in the 45th annual general assembly of the PATA, Nepal taking place on coming April 11.
