Kathmandu: Nepal set 204 runs target against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in a match under the Tri-Nation T20I Series on Thursday.
Nepal managed to get a commendable total on the board losing seven wickets in stipulated 20 overs, courtesy half-century inning by Dipendra Singh Airee. Airee made 66 runs off 33 balls, hitting three fours and four sixes. He completed his half-century in the 18th over by hitting Norman Vanua for three sixes in a row. Rohit Paudel and Aasif Sheikh contributed 41 and 38 runs respectively.
Riley Hekure of PNG took two wickets.
Nepal will enter the final of the tournament ahead of one match if it defeats PNG today. Earlier, Nepal had defeated PNG by 15 runs and Malaysia by six wickets.
Mohammad Aadil Alam made his debut for Nepal in today’s match.
