Kathmandu: A total of 562 people have recovered in a span of 24 hours in the country, while the number of new confirmed cases reported is 318, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The recovery rate has improved to 97.8 percent, the Health Ministry said in a daily bulletin.
The Ministry of Health said that 151 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 167 were confirmed positive in the test undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 5,508 people were tested through the PCR method while 2,235 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.
According to the Ministry, one person succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,931.
A decline in new cases and improvement in daily recoveries have taken active Covid-19 cases in Nepal down significantly in the past few days. Nepal currently has 9,678 cases.
