Kathmandu: The Tribhuvan University (TU) has postponed all the ongoing and scheduled examinations from Sunday until further notice. Issuing a notice on Thursday, the university said it decided to postpone the exams considering the growing risk from the pandemic.
“Considering the rapid surge of omicron variant all over the country and its effect on students and officials, the university has decided to postpone all the exams from January 23 indefinitely,” reads the notice.
Likewise, Kathmandu University has already postponed all its exams.

The students from Purbanchal University are also demanding the university postpone the exams, but PU is yet to decide.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the BA LLB students from PU boycotted the exams, after feeling unsafe to appear for the exam. They even staged a protest in front of the exam center urging the varsity to postpone the exam.
Similarly, on Thursday, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba showed concerns over the ongoing exams. He directed the concerned body to inspect whether health protocols are being followed during the exams.
