Kathmandu: North South Collectives, a Biratnagar-based research foundation, has announced the selection for the Gograha Film Residence 2022.
This is Gograha’s first residence program where six fellows have been selected to finalize their feature film scripts. Abhimanyu Nirabi, Nikita Tripathi, Rajesh Prasad Khatri, Sunil Gurung, Akanchha Karki, and Nawa Bijay Shrestha have been selected for the Gograha Film Residence 2022.
“In addition to the Gograha Film Workshop and Short Film Grant, to be able to announce this residence is a huge pleasure to us and perhaps to the artists who are seeking creative environmental support, said Shanta Nepali, program manager at North South Collectives.
In the initial phase, all the fellows will work on their script from their home and they will be regularly coordinated by Gograha team that includes Deepak Rauniyar, Asha Magrati and Bhaskar Gautam.
At the latter phase, all the fellows will be staying at a residency where they will be mentored by domestic and international resource persons. The latter phase has been rescheduled for March-April 2022.
“The main objective of this residence is to provide a much-sought-after creative environment, institutional support, and intellectual resources to complete one’s project,” added Nepali.
