Kathmandu: Farmers in Ichangunarayan on the outskirts of Kathmandu are busy picking flowers with the Tihar festival approaching.
Due to the high demand for marigolds during the festival, farmers have a hectic schedule of picking flowers and delivering them to the market.
However, farmers have complained that they have to compete with the cheap flowers imported from India. Farmers have said that the import from India has not stopped even though the demand can be met through domestic supply.
