Kathmandu: The Nepali Football Team has returned home creating history in the 13th edition of the SAFF Championship held in the Maldives.
Nepal reached the final of the SAFF Championship for the first time in history. However, in the final match, Nepal was defeated 3-0 by the South Asian giant India.
Beating Nepal in the final match, India lifted the SAFF Championship trophy for the record eight times.
Nepal defeated the defending champion Maldives 1-0 in the opening game, and Sri Lanka 3-2, before losing to India 1-0.
In the final round game, Nepal played a draw against Bangladesh and reached the final. Here are some pictures of their arrival in the country.
