Kathmandu: The Nepali football team has created history.
A goal from Anjan Bista in the 88th minute of the game helped Nepal equalize the game against Bangladesh in the ongoing SAFF Championship in Maldives. The 1-1 draw was enough for Nepal to advance to the final of the tournament.
Nepal will either play seven-time champion India or the defending champion Maldives in the final on Saturday.
Though Nepal dominated ball possession in the entire game, it lacked finishing touch.
Earlier, Nepal Live Today mistakenly posted the news with headline ‘Nepal make history beating Bangladesh, advance to final’. Nepal did not beat Bangladesh, but played a draw. We have corrected the headline. We regret the error.
