Kathmandu: The country has reported 1,664 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Tuesday. Kathmandu recorded 413 new cases while 87 and 64 new cases were recorded in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts respectively.
Among the new cases, 1,523 were confirmed from 9,117 RT-PCR tests while 141 were known from 3,105 antigen tests carried out in the last 24 hours across the country.
Similarly, a total of 1,786 infected got recovered in the same period. With this, the number of active cases in the country is 35,591. Of them, 33,214 are in home isolation and 2,377 patients are in institutional isolation.
Likewise, a total of 537 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in ICUs of various health facilities while 164 are with ventilator support.
A total of 20 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 10,750.
