Nepal witnesses 2,065 fresh Covid-19 cases and 25 fatalities in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: A total of 2,065 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the country in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,577 cases were identified while conducting PCR tests on 8,752 individuals and 488 cases after antigen tests on 4,365 individuals.

The Health Ministry further shared 2,337 infected patients got recovered in the last 24 hours. Similarly, 25 patients died of the virus infection today. With this, deaths caused by the pandemic have reached 10,663 in the country.

Ministry further confirmed that there are 37,599 active cases in the country. Moreover, 34,673 infected people are in home isolation while 2,923 are in isolation centers.

Of the total infected patients, 622 are undergoing treatment under the support of ICU and 171 with ventilator, Ministry added.
