Kathmandu: A total of 30 lawmakers and 55 central members of the proposed CPN (Unified Socialist) have signed during a verification process for registering a new political party.
They had reached the Election Commission (EC) along with the required documents for verification on Wednesday. Before this, the leaders including Madhav Kumar Nepal had applied to the EC for party registration. Leader Jhalanath Khanal who is undergoing treatment in New Delhi, India underwent verification from the Indian capital city.
The EC had called all the leaders who had signed on the application for party registration to its secretariat today for verification.
