18.3 million Covid-19 vaccines to arrive by mid-Oct: Health Ministry

Kathmandu: The government is to bring 18.3 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine by coming mid-October.

Releasing a press statement, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Science, Dr Krishna Prasad Poudel, informed that a total of 18.3 million doses of vaccines were being brought from China, Japan and India combined.

Agreement on vaccine purchase from China was already forwarded. Similarly, Japan government is providing vaccines under the COVAX scheme. The additional one million doses of Covishield from India are also coming.
