Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index went down by 15.11 points to close at 3,079.83 points on Thursday—the last trading day of the week. The index had registered an increase of 15.30 points on Wednesday to record another all-time high of 3,094.94 points.
Likewise, the Sensitive Index that measures the performance of big companies fell by 3.47 points and reached 570.85 points.
All sub-indices except development banks and hotels and tourism witnessed a decrease today. The hotels and tourism sub-index registered an increase of 45.41 points and development banks of 53.4 points. The life insurance sub-index went down the most by 86.55 points.
The stock market saw a total turnover of Rs 10.90 billion with 26,040,023 shares of 217 scrips traded today.
