Kathmandu: Covid-19 has been confirmed on 2,297 more people in the last 24 hours in the country.
The new cases were revealed in a total of 10,904 tests carried out, including 6,583 RT-PCR tests and 4,321 antigen tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Similarly, 3,130 people have recovered from the virus during the same period, taking the number of people recovering from the virus to 559,928. The recovery rate has now climbed to 89.9 percent.
Nepal currently has 53,940 active cases.
Meanwhile, 46 more people succumbed to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The number of people who have died from the pandemic has reached 8,772.
In the last 24 hours, Kathmandu Valley recorded 379 cases with 285 cases in Kathmandu, 33 in Bhaktapur, and 61 in Lalitpur.
