In pics: Nepal receives additional health supplies from USAID

Kathmandu: Another shipment of medical supplies from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to help Nepal fight the deadly Covid-19 surge arrived on Saturday.

The shipment includes pulse oximeters and personal protective equipment including 400,000 KN95 masks from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and approximately 450,000 disposable gowns donated by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.

This assistance builds on previous airlifts carrying thousands of surgical masks, face shields, and gloves to Nepal.

This is a continuation of USAID’s emergency assistance to Nepal which builds on the USG’s ongoing efforts to help save lives and stop the spread of Covid-19 across South Asia, said USAID Nepal in a tweet.

Earlier, Nepal had received the first shipment of emergency aid from USAID on May 22.
