Kathmandu: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli will seek a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives on May 10. But the rival Madhav Nepal faction of his party is still undecided whether to support or stand against him on that day.
Ghanashyam Bhusal, a prominent youth leader from Madhav Nepal faction, said no specific plans have been made as yet even though Oli is insulting and undermining the comrades of Nepal faction inside the party.
“In such a situation, we have to take a democratic step in favor of party unity. That’s why it is an important issue. We are discussing that. We can’t say anything now,” he told Nepal Live Today.
To prove the majority in parliament Oli needs support of 136 lawmakers. CPN-UML in total has 121 lawmakers, of which 35 are close to Madhav Nepal faction.
Yogesh Bhattarai, another leader from the Nepal faction also said no plan has been made yet about the further step the faction will take regarding whether to support or stand against Oli.

Not only Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSPN) but Madhav Nepal faction is also going to be a decisive factor to ensure the outcome of confidence vote in Oli’s favor or against.
Of the 35 lawmakers of Nepal faction, Oli has already persecuted 27 by taking actions including seeking clarification
