Kathmandu: The government has decided to withdraw murder cases against 120 people. Most of them are cadres of Janata Samajwadi Party.
A recent Cabinet meeting decided to withdraw 15 cases against 120 people, said Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung during a press conference organized to make public Cabinet decisions.
Minister Gurung further said that the Cabinet meeting decided to withdraw cases based on the opinion of the Office of the Attorney General.
The cases will be withdrawn only if the concerned court agrees
to the decision.
Now, the government will send the decision of the Council of Ministers to the Office of the Attorney General for implementation and the office will file a petition to withdraw cases before the concerned district court.

Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli had said that he would withdraw the case of those involved in the Madhesh movement and Tikapur incident to rope in JSP to the government.
