Lalitpur: CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice-Chair Pampha Bhusal has urged journalists to write in favour of the country and the people.
Extending best wishes for the successful term to the newly-elected office-bearers of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Lalitpur District Chapter, she said journalism should be fair and inspire the society to pursue the righteousness, as it is an important profession to disseminate truthful information to the people.
“The scope of journalism has also expanded with the rapid development of information and communication technology. Journalism needs to be fair and impartial to take the society towards the right way as journalism has been started to be practiced at the citizen level as well in the present age,” leader Bhusal said.
Calling upon the media persons to engage in social change using the constitutionally-sanctioned rights, the Maoist Centre leader and former minister Bhusal stressed on the journalists to work without fear or favour as the watchdog in exposing the wrong activities of the State and the anomalies and aberrations existing in society.
Chapter president Ramhari Karki said he was committed to his responsibility to advocate in favour of the people by forging solidarity in the FNJ. (RSS)
