Acharya elected Chair of FNJ Associate Provincial President

Kathmandu: Dambar Prasad Acharya (Royal) has been elected President of the Associate Provincial Committee of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).

In the election held on Friday, Acharya won with 266 votes beating his nearest rival Smriti Dhungana who got 192 votes, said Dhruv Lamsal, coordinator of the election committee.

Likewise, Pushpa Thapalia was elected vice-president (inclusive), Ashesh Adhikari was elected general secretary. Other office-bearers and members have already been elected unopposed in other posts.

Similarly, Menuka Kunwar and Pabitra Mudbhari were elected FNJ Associate Central Members.

Cartoonists Club, Film Journalists Association Nepal, Film Critics Society, South Asian Journalists, Everest Press Club, Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, Nepal Journalists Forum, Online Journalists Association, Tourism Journalists Forum, Journalism Development Society, Photo Journalists Club and Journalism Research and Training Society are members of the FNJ Provincial Associate Chapter.
