Earthquake jolts Annapurna Region

Kathmandu: An earthquake with its epicentre at Annapurna Region has been recorded today.

The National Earthquake Measurement and Research Centre, Lainchaur said the tremor measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale and with its epicentre at Annapurna Region on the border between Kaski and Manang districts occurred at 10.13 am today.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 Richter scale and with its epicentre around Orang of Dolakha district occurred on November 7 before this.

Earthquakes continue to occur in Nepal of late. Nepal is considered as earthquake prone territory as it is located in the Himalayan region. (RSS)
