Kathmandu: Minister for Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation Dipak Khakda and Country Representative of Food and Agriculture Organization Ken Shimizu held a meeting at the ministry today.
During the meeting, different issues of food and water crises following the climate change impacts were discussed.
On the occasion, Minister Khadka appreciated FAO’s support to Nepal’s sustainable agriculture development, food security and livelihood promotion of rural community.
Likewise, FAO Country Representative Shimizu said FAO was willing to develop a resilient structure for Nepal’s food sufficiency in the context of looming food crisis due to the climate change impacts.
