Kathmandu: A person died in a jeep accident at Sunarpani of Manthali municipality-5 in Ramechhap today. Deputy Superintendent of Police in the district, Pradeep Kumar Singh, informed that six people were injured in the accident.
The jeep with number plate Ba 1 8 Ch 1839 was heading to Salu of Manthali-4 from Manthali. It fell 150 meters down from the road on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police, 60-year-old Padma Maya Nepali from Manthali-4 died on the spot.
Similarly, injured in the incident were 42-year-old driver Gun Kumar Thapamgar and 69-year-old Dilip Kumar Baruwal, 34-year-old Sita Nepali, 25-year-old Sujita Rasaili, 25-year-old Sarita Nepali and Sarita’s five-month-old daughter Ronisha from the same ward.
Thapamagar and Baruwal have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment, while others are being treated at Manthali-based Ramechhap Community Hospital and Manthali Hospital, DSP Singh added. (RSS)
