Humla: The Balabhadra Lower Secondary School at Sata of Simkot rural municipality-8 has been closed for two days after the road to reach there was damaged due to landslide.
Incessant rainfall occurred for some days triggered the landslide that damaged road connecting the school.
The students from Yangu village of Simkot-8 are deprived of education due to the road disruption. A teacher at the school, Pemathuket Tamang, admitted that the students could not arrive in school because the landslide damaged the way causing sheer difficulty in movement. The school management had no option but to close classes after students failed to turn up.
Even the land mass above the school was facing risk of erosion.
Not only students but also the locals are suffering the brunt of road damage, it was informed. (RSS)
