Bagmati: The Kantilokpath (road) connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu has been obstructed due to landslides after rain.
Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Laxmi Bhandari informed that the road has been obstructed
due to landslide at Lamrang of Bakaiya rural municipality-11 in Makawanpur today.
DSP Bhandari said that work is underway to remove the landslide in coordination with the Road Division Office.
Meanwhile, Nepal Police has rescued four persons stranded in the Rapti rivulet at Dillipur of Manahari rural municipality-5 in Makawanpur last night.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Area Police Office Newarpani, Area Police Office Manahari, Bagmati Province Disaster Management Gulm Thanabharyang, Armed Police Force 14 Battalion Makawanpur and Nepal Army’s Suparetar Barrack rescued them.
Bhandari said that the team rescued all the four people stranded on the Rapti banks by adopting various measures. (RSS)
