UML’s Politburo meeting continues today

Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) has commenced the second day of its Politburo meeting at the party’s central office at Chyasal, Lalitpur a while ago.

Prime Minister and Party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli presided the meeting. The agenda of today’s meeting is to gather suggestions from the politburo members on the party’s annul action-plan that party’s General-Secretary Shankar Pokharel had outlined on the first day of the meeting.

Rajendra Gautam, Chief of Publicity Department of the Party, shared that each members has been allocated three minutes to put their views on the annual action-plan.

The action-plan that focuses on several key areas to further strengthen the party includes expanding party membership, improving documentation process, holding regular conventions for both the party and affiliated sister organization.

The action-plan also outlines strategies such as evaluation of party committees, leader and cadres for effective leadership and efficiency in operation of party, described Gautam.

The action-plans will be finalized following these discussions, he informed. The meeting will conclude with PM and Party Chair Oli’s address, he added. (RSS)
