India’s Youth Minister of State in Kathmandu

Kathmandu: India’s Minister of State for Youth and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, has arrived in Kathmandu to inquire about the health condition of Indian citizens who were injured in a bus accident at Ainapahra of Aanbookhaireni-4 in Tanahu on Friday.

According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, the Minister of State reached the Tribhuvan University, Teaching Hospital at Maharajganj and was getting information about the health condition of the injured ones. 

The passenger bus UP 53 FT 7623 heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara fell 200 meters down the road into the Masryangdi River.

According to police, 16 injured are receiving treatment at TUTH.  The wounded passengers were brought to Kathmandu on Friday in a Nepal Army helicopter. According to the police, 43 persons were onboard.

Meanwhile, those who lost their lives in the accident underwent postmortem at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan.

Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Indradev Yadav, informed that the dead body would be sent to India after completing postmortem.

Earlier, 27 people had lost their lives in the incident. (RSS)
