TU’s constituent campuses double students’ number

Chitwan: Number of students has doubled in Birendra Multiple Campus – a constituent campus of the Tribhuvan University.

As many as 3,400 students were studying in this campus in 2077 BS while the number now has crossed 7,000.

According to campus chief Dayaram Poudel, the student’s attraction has increased significantly after the introduction of new subjects in the campus. The campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in humanities, science, management and education faculties.

BBA and BBS are taught in management in graduation. In science, BSc, BSc, CSIT, BIT, BSc Zoology and Microbiology are taught.

Bs and BICTE subjects are taught in education. The post-graduate courses include physics and chemistry in science, MBS in management, Nepali, English, economics, sociology and population education in humanities. The campus is preparing to conduct MCA and MEd courses from this year. After teaching new subjects in the campus, it has become the first choice. Campus Chief Poudel said. “Students do not go elsewhere until they get quota here due to low tuition fees and quality education”, he said. (RSS)
