Kathmandu: Ninety-seven new industries were registered in Palpa district in the last fiscal year 2023/24.Of them, eight industries are production based, 44 agriculture and livestock based, 30 are based on tourism and 15 service based.
A total of 407 people – 180 women and 227 men got employment in these industries, according to the Office of Cottage and Small Industries.
Capital worth Rs 219.8 million was invested in the industries registered in the office last fiscal year as well as revenue worth Rs 1.564 million was collected from newly registered industries, said Enterprise Development Facilitator, Manoj Ghimire.
He shared that 483 industries were renewed, capital of 89 industries were increased, objectives of three industries were changed and added and name and place of nine industries were also changed in the last fiscal year.
A total of 3817 industries have been registered in the district so far since the establishment of the office. Of them, 605 are related to production, 1,368 based on agriculture and livestock and 1,033 are tourism based. (RSS)
