Kathmandu: The Medical Education Commission is to return the entrance examination fee of those students who were not able attend the entrance exam.
Following the direction of the Minister for Education, Science and technology, the Commission decided to return the entrance examination fee of invalid students.
An executive committee meeting of the Commission held on Wednesday took the decision to return the entrance exam fee of those applicants who failed to meet the determined minimum educational qualification, said Commission’s Under-Secretary Manju Adhikari.
Adhikari shared that the entrance fee submitted by the invalid applicants in course of filling form would be returned to concerned examinees if they visit the Commission with the evidence. The Commission had opened the form for various educational programmes under medical education before the results of grade 12.
Earlier, there was no trend of returning the examination charge of the students, failing to meet minimum educational qualification, but the Commission decided to return it as per the Education Minister’s directive.
The Commission is running entrance exams under different programmes for Bachelors’ level from August 17 to 21. (RSS)
