Kanchanpur: The structures constructed by encroaching upon the Kaluwapur-Belauri road at Shuklaphanta municipality-11 would be razed.
Physical structures built in an area of 15 metres on both sides of the road are going to be removed. Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, Khem Raj Bista, informed a three-day notice was issued to remove the illegally built physical structures which actually are in the ambit of roadway, a public space. The local level is flattening the structures from Sunday, he warned.
Bista mentioned that the illegal huts and infrastructures were narrowing the road, thereby triggering road accidents. Those turning deaf ear to the notice would face stringent action. The road encroachment has further caused inundation in the market area by blocking the water outlet.
Earlier, the municipality had razed the physical structures constructed by encroaching road at Jhalari and the vicinity. (RSS)
