Ghorahi: A person died and another one went missing in the flood occurred in Dang district. Similarly, dozens of houses have been inundated due to incessant rainfall.
Chhediram Chaudhary, 55, of Gadawa rural municipality died when the Gangdi stream swept away a tractor (Ra 1 Ta 2166) at Gadawa rural municipality-5.
Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Gadawa, Kalika Karki, said two others—tractor driver Mahesh Yadav and another one were rescued.
Similarly, Raj Kmar Yadav, 18, of Rajpur rural municipality-2, who was returning home after selling milk, went missing in the Rapti River, shared Chief of the District Police Office, Ram Bahadur KC.
Three persons including Yadav were trapped in the flood of the Rapti River. Of them, Dayaram Yadav, 40, and Tularam Yadav, 48, were rescued.
Dozens of houses at Hasnapur of Lamahi municipality-7 and Lathawa of Rapti rural municipality-5 were inundated due to torrential rainfall. Ghorahi-Tulasipur section has been obstructed after a flood in Sewar stream swept away an alternate route. (RSS)
