Prime Minister to seek vote of confidence from House of Representatives

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is to take a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives.

Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Dahal said in a meeting of the party office-bearers convened this morning following the latest political equation developments that the required works would be pursued for the process of taking the vote of confidence.

“A decision has been made according to which the Prime Minister will ‘face’ Parliament and go for a proposal of vote of confidence,” Maoist Centre General Secretary Devendra Poudel said after the meeting.

Poudel said that a decision has been made to hold discussions with all parties including the Rastriya Swatantra Party that is a part of the present ruling coalition as well as with the main opposition party Nepali Congress regarding the topic of vote of confidence.

Party spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said that in the meeting Chair Dahal gave a preliminary ‘briefing’ on the latest political development. (RSS)
