Kathmandu: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Bhagawati Chaudhary, has said collaboration helps in fostering social works, as individual efforts on it are insufficient.
Addressing a programme organized on the 23rd anniversary of the Armed Police Forces Women Association in the federal capital on Monday, Minister Chaudhary underlined the need for benevolence to create civilized community.
She appreciated the role the Armed Police Force played in the natural disasters. Equally important is the devotion of the spouses of the APF personnel, Minister Chaudhari observed.
The Association has contributed to assistance to the disaster victims and their health and education, the Minister reminded.
At the programme, Officiating Inspector General of the APF, Narayan Datt Paudel, gave away the prizes and awards to those winning in the women half marathon.
Similarly, Association’s Vice Chair Sabitri Kumari Jaishi handed over the prizes to the SEE graduates coming with excellence. (RSS)
